Returns & Replacements

You may return your purchase by making a return request 30 days after receipt of merchandize. As long as we receive a request within 30 days of receipt you will be eligible to return you merchandize as long as these few conditions are met:


  • Prior to returning any product, you must obtain an RGA (return goods authorization). Items returned without an RGA number will not be accepted.
  • While we happily include free shipping on many products, items which are returned will have 2-way shipping charges deducted from applicable credits.
  • All returns must be in their ORIGINAL PACKAGING in NEW CONDITION.
    Refunds will only be issued under the following conditions:
  • No returns on bulb or part orders.
  • Claims after 30 days of receipt are not eligible for return or replacement.

NO RETURNS will be accepted on items which have had their wires clipped or that have been installed. NO EXCEPTIONS. Clearance items, piece parts and bulbs are not returnable. Under no circumstances will the amount of the product refund exceed the amount originally charged.


How do I make a return?

To make a request please email your name, order #, and reason for return to sales@thelightingshop.com. You can also call us at 1-877-751-4081 and one of our customer service representatives will process your request and issue an RGA number. They will also provide you with return shipping instructions. The merchandise should be packed and returned in its original carton, including all packaging materials and accessories. Once you are provided an RGA number and return shipping instructions, please ship the package prepaid via UPS, FedEx or DHL, insured and retain the tracking information in case there is a problem with the return shipment.


What is an RGA number?

An RGA (Returned Goods Authorization) number is simply a way for us to track return transactions. When you request a return, we will process your request and issue you an RGA number (if applicable) with your return instructions. No returns will be accepted without an RGA number.

I've returned my order without an RGA number. When will my credit be issued?

An RGA number is required on ALL returns. The RGA# helps identify a package once it is returned. If you return a product without an RGA number, we cannot issue a credit as we will not be able to identify it to a specific order or request.

My shipment arrived damaged or defective. How do I get a replacement?

To make a request please email your name, order #, and reason for return to sales@thelightingshop.com. You can also call us at 1-877-751-4081 and one of our customer service representatives will process your replacement request. They will also provide you with instructions for what to do with your damaged merchandise. Most times we will request that you return the products free of charge once we issue a prepaid shipment label and other times we may require you to throw the product away. Upon your request you will be provided with the applicable instructions.


Important:

Please DO NOT refuse damaged product upon delivery, we need you to receive the product in order to properly . Typical damage is isolated to broken glass which we will gladly replace if notified within 21 business days of delivery. After 30 business days of receipt, replacement glass can be purchased. REFUSAL of a shipment will result in freight charges outgoing and returning, as well as restocking fees of up to 50%.
